samba and win98 beta 3

Has anyone had a chance to use samba with win98 beta 3?

If so, any problems?

I have somebody who just installed win98, and now he can't
access our smb server. Oddly, I checked his tcp settings,
and set him up to use the samba box for wins and domain
logons, which work.

But when he tries to browse the shares on the server,
he gets asked for a passwd to access the \\server\IPC$
share.

I have both win95 and winNT users happily accessing the
server via smb w/o any problems.

The only error in the log file is as follows:

03/04/98 17:29:58 error packet at line 537 cmd=115 (SMBsesssetupX) eclass=2 ecode=2
error string = Bad file number

Any suggestions? I've attached some context for the above
error message below.
