Hello all!

It's my first posting to this list, so 'hello all' again ;-)

I have the next problem:

My system:

[PIPPIN] --- Printer
 |
 |
[ARAGORN]
 |
 |
[GANDALF]

Pippin: Linux
Aragorn: Linux & Win95
Gandalf: Win95 & Linux

I can print remotely (Linux) from aragorn and gandalf
I can print locally (Linux) from pippin

since I suspect that there is no error in the printcap, and so.

>From Win95 (aragorn, gandalf) I can 'see' (and install, and configure) my
printer. But, when I print:

% tail /var/log/samba-log.gandalf
 Client requested max send size of 2920
 Client requested max send size of 2920
06/20/98 17:40:12 gandalf (192.168.1.2) connect to service tom as user
nobody (uid=65534,gid=65534) (pid 568)
06/20/98 17:40:15 gandalf (192.168.1.2) closed connection to service tom
 Client requested max send size of 2920
06/20/98 18:10:22 gandalf (192.168.1.2) connect to service tom as user
nobody (uid=65534,gid=65534) (pid 626)
06/20/98 18:10:23 gandalf (192.168.1.2) closed connection to service tom

Initially, I connected as user ccosta, but now, since it doesn't run, I
change to nobody.

My /etc/smb.conf (interesting part):

[global]
        printing=bsd
        printcap name = /etc/printcap
        load printers=yes
        guest account = nobody
        invalid users = root
        workgroup = La Comarca
        forceuser = nobody
	[...]

[printers]
        comment = Impresoras
        browseable = no
        path = /var/spool/lpd/lp
        printable = yes
        public = yes
        writable =no
        create mode=0700
[tom]
        path=/var/spool/lpd/lp
        printer name=lp
        writable=yes
        public=yes
        printable=yes
        print command = /usr/bin/lpr %s
        create mode=0700

I you can help me, please do it.

Thanks in advance,
	Carlos.
