Sorry Suzanne,

but for this problem I did not have a solution!

The Problem is, that WIN NT, start the Network with the LOGIN - Screen
(one of the Security Mechanism).

I've you try to enter the network request to the AUTOEXEC.BAT - File, it
will not mountd // map one of the drives, because the network isn't
start at this time! The next Point you could enter is after the Login -
Screen (my method)

It could be, that somewhere in the Windows NT - Registry
(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, I think) is a Entry which could make, to access
such a "early" request, but I don't know where!

I hope that someone else know a solution for that, but at this Time I
couldn't Help!

Have a nice day

What if you want to map a drive *before* a user logs in? Is
that possible?

	Hello happy Samba People,
I use the following trick for mounting my Samba Maps at start-up
at my WIN NT Workstation 4.0 (hate this beast).
I use the logon Scripts that could be used by WIN NT. (See
Directory :
	\system32\repl\import\scripts).
You should give the file a "good" name (I use my Login Name for
that (SVEN.BAT)).
Then I use the "net use" in the Script for ex. : @net use M:
	\\testy\docs rumpel /USER:homeboy
I use the "@" because you always have to give a password to
logon, and nobody should see that ;). The syntax is :
		@net use
	[DRIVE-LETTER]:\\[NAME_OF_MACHINE\NAME_OF_SHARE] [password]
	/USER:[Username]
So and now I have to say WIN NT that It should use that script!
Go to the User Administration and select the User that should use the
script! Open the Profile and write the name of the script (in this ex.
SVEN.BAT) in the Edit Field "Login Script Name".
	I hope that helps!
	Have a nice day
