Samba box member of NT domain

Hey All:
	I have an NT domain controller and everything is working great. I have lots
of samba boxes. Currently we are using the plain old /etc/passwd for
authentatication. I want to make the samba boxes a member of the domain so
passwords are encrypted and users only have to worry about one password.
Problem: Boss does not trust NT domain controllers. Does anyone have an
argument I can use to make the samaba boxes a member of the domain?
