win95 print stops pc

Hello,
we are running samba 1.9.17p4 on an alpha 2100 DU 3.2c.

If we print from our win95 pc's to a remote printer on the above
mentioned server
the 95 pc's stop working for about 5 to 10 seconds until the printjob is
done.
Is this normal ??
