Compilation not successfully terminated

I try to install samba-1.9.16p10 with linux 2.0.29#10 but this is the
output of the command "make":
server.o: In function 'disk_free" :
server.o(.text+0xbec): undefined reference to 'disk_quotas'
make: *** [smbd] Error 1
WHY?
