How to Install SAMBA Server on VAX

When I run testparm file it gives one warning
WARNING: lock directory /disk0/samba/var/locks should have permissions 0755
for
browsing to work

I have set
directory mask = 0755
but it is still giving that message, can you suggest what possibly causing
this problem?

Also I read that interfaces parameter can be used to define netmask,
broadcast address, and IP address, how can I configure broadcast address
using interface parameter?
