My current working machine is FreeBSD 11, that's what I was focussing
on. I was particularly interested because that is the first non-Linux
unix easily available to me with robust mutexes. Solaris was more
difficult for me to get my hands on. Developing on any BSD for me
usually exposes critical bugs, that's why I try to do it whenever I
can. Getting a full make test through FreeBSD is a challenge for
another day though, but I will fix things as they pass by.
Another aspect that I like about FreeBSD is that it has rich acls,
something that will take a while to trickle down into your favourite
Linux distro I guess.

Highly appreciated!
