I'd avoid that. We should have a generic way to disable vfs modules,
we already have these options.

  --with-static-modules=STATIC_MODULES
            Comma-separated list of names of modules to statically link in
  --with-shared-modules=SHARED_MODULES
            Comma-separated list of names of modules to build shared

Building the specific module as shared module already makes this optional
and we can just ignore the .so file.

--without-modules=DISABLED_MODULES could be a generic option to disable
stuff.
