Absolutely, utterly and 100%'ly no problem at all. Take all the time 
(and more) you need to make sure it builds.
Meanwhile, We can confirm the latest 4.0.0beta9-GIT-45f8f97 builds fine 
on both openSUSE 12.2 and Ubuntu 12.04
