Hi Kai, thanks for your answer, so it seems that who ever wrote the
load_interface_list() call, forgot? about the loopback interface or as
the rest of the world calls it '127.0.0.1'.
It just seems strange to have to use the machines ipaddress in
/etc/resolv.conf after years of using 127.0.0.1
