Canonicalizing Paths Method for "wide links = no"

Hi

I have set in my smb.conf

follow symlinks = yes
wide links = no

As I want to allow symlinks in the same share but not elsewhere in the
file tree.

However my server is still automounting paths that are symlinks in the
directory shared out (as users access the tree).

Is this just the method use to check "wide links", i.e does the symlink
get followed (so my automount happens) then samba verifies if it's in
the same filssystem, if not it's denied?

Or am I still seeing some other effect?

Thanks

Colin
