Samba4 should be portable to FreeBSD 9.0 already.  We certainly build on
FreeBSD 10-CURRENT (https://build.samba.org/build.cgi/host/tinderbox).

The only issue I'm aware of is that we don't find libiconv in /usr/local
(so you might need to specify the CFLAGS and LDFLAGS for that manually).

Do you have any suggestions on how to instruct WAF to look in particular
directories for a library?
