Additionally, it allows us to make the part that is linked in everywhere
(nss) really slim, while using some more intelligent marshalling for the
"rich" pipe.

Yup, pretty much, just that we could also allow non-internal RPCs in
there. And as we can hide away all the complexity behind libwbclient,
nothing much will change for our users.
