Hello guys,
I have Samba running on an AIX system and I'm getting lots of error messages in
the log.smbd file. The messages are like;
[2010/10/14 14:30:19, 0] smbd/statcache.c:stat_cache_add(137)
stat_cache_add: Error storing entry LIST/0008284297!XF_IN!7051494 ->
List/0008284297!XF_IN!7051494
[2010/10/14 14:30:19, 0] smbd/statcache.c:stat_cache_add(137)
stat_cache_add: Error storing entry DATA/0008284297!XF_IN!7051494 ->
Data/0008284297!XF_IN!7051494
The first error occured writing 0008284297!XF_IN!7051494 to a directory named
"List".
The second error occured writing 0008284297!XF_IN!7051494 to a directory named
"Data".
Yes, the file names are the same but the data is different and thus it's written
to two directories by the same program.
The files actually are being written and the application program seems to be
doing it's job OK.
In many cases there are 7 or 8 of these messages for each directory/file.
The version I'm using is 3.0.21c.
Also, there are about 50 smbd processes running on the system. Should there be
more than one?
What can I do to track down what wrong?
Thanks!
