Regarding Google Summer of Code

Sir/Ma'am

I would like to participate in GSoC 2010 and am interested in adding
remote (RPC) support for Samba configuration and creating a GUI (in
Qt) for displaying /proc/fs/cifs statistics and mount/session status.
I am quite well-versed in C, C++ and Qt, particularly interested in
exploring Linux Kernel Code.

Kindly tell me any other prerequisites for these projects.
