Hey folks,
I would like to ship Samba 3.6.0pre1 on July 14. That would mean to branch
v3-6-test one week before and to start preparing the release notes now.
If you think that's too early, please have in mind that we do need round
about 3 release candidates and not less than 3 preview releases. Assuming
approximately 3 to 4 weeks between each of these releases and needing a
small buffer, means, we should start pretty soon to be able to stick to
the release date.
Are there any objections?
To be able to prepare the release notes, I need the help of all
developers. Please have a look which important changes/new features will
get into the new release and send a summary via email or put it directly
into the WHATSNEW.txt file.
Thanks!
Cheers,
Karolin
