Tridge, this commit triggered my attention so I read this idmap_tdb2
code, and I don't understand why you wrote this.

Since 3.0.25 we already have a cache tdb (see idmap_cache.c) and a
permanent tdb storage.
This backend adds yet another caching tdb, why?
