Indeed, which sort of makes this line of enquiry invalid.  Except that
Matthis's early usrmgr tests nicely showed up some issues that exist
more broadly, but are more simply (less noise) exposed by usrmgr. 

If you can find an old version of usrmgr.exe (without the 'this is AD,
try another tool' check), it will work against AD and Samba4, but
comparison is key, as for example it will also crash against AD, when
trying some of the policy options.
