Thats not a samba error (and does not fit into -technical either). Your 
ldap server requires either SASL or SSL protected connections for 
updates. In case of openldap look at sasl-secprops slapd.conf parameter. 
  You probably need a combination of sasl-secprops and ACLs to limit the 
scope of unsecured updates.
