smb_panic in processing trans2 Query FS Device Info

Anyone recognize the following panic on Trans2 Query FS Device Info 
(actually the first trans2 issued by the client)
in reasonably current Samba 3?   I was running a samba 4 like smb.conf 
with Samba 3, although I am not certain
that that is related to the problem.   Unfortunately the cifs client 
retried the operation forver which I need to fix.
I now am updating Samba 3 to see if the problem goes away.
