At least this point is no longer valid. The cache for the Samba
repository has been reduced to about 20Mb.

After some investigation, this actually looks like it's more of a bzr problem
than a bzr-svn problem.

I've uploaded branches of Samba 3, 4 and docs as created by this plugin at 
http://people.samba.org/bzr/jelmer/samba/{3.0,4.0,docs}
