Samba with LDAP or Kerberos Backend

I was grubbing through old Samba forums and found a message from you 
from last year, as you attempted to centralize passwords and accounts 
with Kerberos and LDAP and Samba.

Did you ever manage to get this working?  I am trying to get rid of a 
W2K AD server, and it seems that I want to do something similar to what 
you were trying to do; but reading the manuals, it doesn't seem that 
this is feasible.  How did you end up setting things up?
