Problem using v3.0 to NetApp servers

I observed the *exact* same problem at a customer site not too long ago
but using smbmount instead of smbclient. I saved a -d10 debug log of the
output but never had a chance to look into it any further. The solution
for now was to keep 2.2.x in place. I'd say this warrants further
investigation but I'm not in situation to help out as I don't have regular
access to a NetApp filer.
