Because nobody has proposed such a patch? But wait, they have! Samba
3.0.1 included support for the extra attributes used by TSE. Is that
support insufficient? What is broken about it?

Only with Samba 3.0 did people even try to do this, so it's only
recently this work has been proposed. Patches are always welcome, but
they must be on the basis of implementing what Microsoft does, when
there is a comparable feature of Microsoft's to match.

The correct forum is the samba mailing lists - I don't know if any team
members monitor random newsgroups.

You need to work with us. This is the first I have heard of a TSE
profile path. You will need to provide information not only on what it
is, how it is retrieved and how it operates in NT4 DCs (which is all we
can emulate). Ethereal traces and debug logs, particularly of both
logons and management tool operations assist a lot in this process.
