File locking problem after upgrading to 3.0.2a from 2.8.X

We recently upgraded our RedHat 7.2 server from Samba 2.2.8a to 3.0.2a and
have had some backup issues ever since. Our backup software
(Legato Networker) once in a while gives the error "Cannot allocate memory"
on files that are locked by Samba (smbstatus).

The only files we have had trouble with are files showing up as locked by the
smbstatus command:

I have experimented with the "--enable-spinlocks" config flag with no success.

Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this? Please reply directly since

Thanks!
