replication as a bdc of an nt pdc

About the samba as a BDC of an NT4 PDC,

looking through the code i found out that when nmbd receives a
sam_changes message from the PDC, it sends a message to smbd, but there
is no code in smbd to launch a databasedeltas request.
(smbd/server.c:94)

i was wondering where i could put the code to manage the deltas
operation.

i thought about that:
when nmbd receive the msg it could fork and do the deltas stuff, but i
dont know if that could cause problems.

any ideas ?
