Here's what I have 

	AD (native)
	+-- FROST (native)
	    +-- AQUA (native)
	+-- FRUIT (mixed)

Joined Samba 3.0 box to FRUIT.

	# wbinfo -m
	AQUA
	FROST
	VALE
	AD

VALE is a Samba domain with an expliciti 2-way trust setup.
