I don't now if my earlier reply made it through so here it is again: I think he was asking if rebinding API was OpenLDAP specific or not, and from a little bit a research, I was able to find out that, at the very least, the Netscape SDK uses the same API, which leads me to think that it's standard.... --Shahms
