Errorlog name (was: Samba Errorlog in log.smb)

Just as a sidenote, why is the default name of the log files:
Log.smbd
Log.nmbd

Why not smbd.log and nmbd.log? That is the naming convention for all my
other log files, on Darwin 5.2/ MacOS X 10.1, don't know what the convention
is on Linux, but it seems a bit unnatural to me.
