WINS syncing with win2k server

I have this win2k server that is it's wins server for it's local net.
I tried to configure it to sync with my domain master on another subnet, but
got these errors.
Does anyone know how to make this work?

The browser was unable to retrieve a list of servers from the browser master
\\GENBABY on the network
\Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{BA66A938-02CB-440C-B4E0-EDD681FF8629}. The data is the
error code.

and

An attempt to connect to the remote WINS server with address 10.10.10.3
returned with an error. Check to see that the remote WINS server is running
and available, and that WINS is running on that server.
