Retrieving user groups using SMB

Dear All

We are trying to perform Authentication of user, Retrieval of users and
users groups by using SMB on NT box. We have been succesful in
authenticating the user. We get back SID as well. But, the problem
is retrieving user's groups using SID. Has anyone done any similar work ? 
What specific calls (in SMB) need to be made for retrieving user group ?

I greatly appreciate any help in this matter. Thanks
