HP-UX connections.tdb problem

After following the listings a few days and updating various files I still can't get a decent
behaviour of samba 2.2.0 on our HP-UX 10.20 system.
connections.tdb doesn't grow anymore but crashes the system

Can someone please point me in the right direction
