samba 2.2alpha3 and PCL drivers

I am still having problem with some Canon PCL drivers with the latest
version.
I am able to install the drivers but Windows complains when setting the
printer
to use these drivers.  "Unable to save printer settings"  

Any ideas/suggestions on how this can be tracked down.  I can't see anything
in the debug logs to indicate a failure.
