ldap new schema attr. syntax

Is someone working in the definition of SYNTAX attributes?

The definitions for some AD attributes I found in some OpenLdap files
don't works because they are experimental, like this: 
> attributetype ( 1.2.840.113556.1.4.49 
>         NAME 'badPasswordTime' 
>         SYNTAX '1.2.840.113556.1.4.906' 
>         SINGLE-VALUE ) 

The question is: does the Samba use the own syntax definitions or should
use MS like attribute definitions?
I know the WS don't take care about ldap server at all, but for
PDC/forest I don't know...
