	I'll echo that: we've had, for example, Kerberos
	available since Project Athena days, and almost no-one's
	used it. Only now has MS stepped up and said
	"we think this is a good thing", and adopted it.

	We haven't dropped plain-text because it
	still works well on a local machine, sorta-
	acceptably on a local net, and is only seriously
	stupid in a public network.
