smbclient & pwd command

When I use smbclient like this ...


smbclient -L //hostname/directory name -U username

I am logged into the appropriate directory. I can verify this by looking at
the files.

When I type pwd from inside smbclient, it does not tell me the actual
directory name- it only shows me the name of the machine.

Why  is this ?

I am using RH 6.2 and Samba 2.06
