Status of the other Samba lists

On a related note.....will there be the opportunity to possibly select a
daily digest format of this list in the future?

Ron,

Your observations are well noted.  Tim Potter have 
accepted responsibility for the mailing lists.  He has
moved several lists, but hit a wall with samba-ntdom.
He may be working on the main samba list as we speak.
