Samba FTP and TELNET problems

No, because you didn't describe your problem.  You only said
telnet/ftp/ping work ok, you don't say anything about whether or not
Samba is working, or what it is not doing right.

You also sent the message to samba-technical at samba.org rather than
samba at samba.org.  samba-technical is for development issues, not user
support.
