Samba FTP and TELNET problems

Hello, finally got Samba to start doing something, but not quite there yet. 
Perhaps one of you Samba experts can help.

1. Still can't view the hosts (Linux box) from the Window box.
2. From the Window box, I can ping, telnet, and FTP to the Linux box.
3. Can ping from the Linux box to the Window box, but FTP and TELNET doesn't 
work refuses to connect.


Any one with any suggestions?
