What is required to get windows 2000 support in samba?

For file service?  2.0.7 will fix all known Windows 2000 problems.
Download it in the usual places as soon as it's released, which should
be Real Soon Now.

For domain controller support?  Not even on the horizon.  (Unless you
count alpha releases of Samba-TNG, which I don't recommend if you
aren't willing to get your hands fairly dirty.)
