Win 95 and DOS apps hanging

Hi,

this is not the best mailing list, but I thought someone here might know
something.

I have a laptop where DOS apps hang when you start them from Win05 in a DOS
window, but they run OK if you reboot into DOS.

Does anyone have any troubleshooting info that will help get them running
in Windows?
