AFAIK Windows sticks to one user id over a single connection. When you
accept a bad password for IPC$ Windows will never ask again when you
try a tconX to another share. Samba simply has to refuse that. You
might want to look at Andrews long text that Gerald repostet for me.

'map to guest = bad user' works fine for me.
