SAM Local Security Authority

Hiya Everyone.  Is anyone out there currently implementing part of the
SAM LSA which would record when a user logs on or off a Samba server and
where from (IP address).  If not - could someone point me in the
direction of some doco to get me started and give me some idea of what
needs to be implemented??
