Hey folks,

I've fixed up my bzr mirroring scripts to include
the commit messages from the svn trees. I'll be posting
updates bzr trees for SAMBA_3_0 and SAMBA_4_0 in the
morning when the import finishes. If you have already
done a 'bzr branch' from the previous version, I think
you can just do a 'bzr merge' from the new trees.
Please spend a little bit on time once the new trees are
up and play around. Let me know if you have any problems
so we can get the bzr issues straightened out early on.

If possible, let's try to finish up the requirements &
milestone docs by the end of the week. There will be
four target dates to hit. The initial requirement doc,
the middle milestone, the code complete (or second
milestone) and the final put-down-your-pencils deadline.
For those students working with me, you manage you own
time between deadlines. If you have questions, you'll have
to ask. I (and I doubt anyone else will) micro manage
the SoC projects.

Once we get the bzr issues smoothed out, have a place to
publish your trees, and the coding starts, we should be
able review your working code. This means publishing
your tree when you have some feature working (config
file parsing, module initialization, etc...). You don't
have to publish with each change, but it would be help
to be able to pull from your trees a once or twice a week
and see how things are going.

If you are working on Samba 4, then tridge & co. has
the authoritative say on publishing code, bzr vs. svn,
etc... Unless you hear differently from him, assume
this email to outline the default rules of the game.

cheers, jerry
