Just some information I'm passing along:

Reports are that install pyCurl can improve performance
of bzr.  You have to grab the version of pyCurl that matches
your libcurl installation.  For example, I had to us pyCurl-7.14.0
for my SuSE 10.0 boxes.

You can download pyCurl from http://pycurl.sourceforge.net/download/
