Samba and Windows 2000

Hi,

The change you make in the NT registry is to force NT to use non encrypted
passwords (default prior to SP3). Windows 2000 won't send any unencrypted
information.

Looks like you have to upgrade... Look the Samba HOWTO for a guide in
upgrading your server.
