Assistance with a problem

I have an NT and UNIX network where Samba is used for file and print sharing
(an old version of Samba - 1.9.18p10).  My problem is that I have a Win2K
client that can connect to NT shares without any problems,  when I attempts
to connect to the Samba share the following messages is provided:  "System
error 121 has occurred - the semaphore timeout period has expired".  I tried
TechNet to no avail.  Does any body have any ideas?
