Hi,
It took the longest time, but I finally figured out why I could not get W2K
to join a domain. Turns out the culprit is the 'wins server =' option. If I
set this to the IP of the Samba server I get the following error:
"The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted".
Commenting out 'wins server =' then restarting Samba allowed me to finally
join a domain. Problem is that I need Wins support.
Of interst may be an excerpt from log.nmbd when 'wins server = 192.168.67.10'
is turned on:
*****

So, is there a way for me to have my cake and eat it too? :-)
