Additional info... tried this with log level 100 & configure.developer. The only messages in ANY log as a result of attempting to
join the domain are nmbd log messages with "Unique-packed logon from <ip>: code = [7|12]." There are about the same number of 7s as
12s. However... I can browse the domain and logon to the domain from workstations which are already connected.
